Recently at the GenR8 Change community Walk-shop events a healthy barbeque as an alternative to the traditional sausage sizzle, and it was a hit!
Healthy doesn't have to be hard, Gilly simply threaded some sliced chicken breast onto skewers, and added herbs and spices to lamb cutlets before grilling to create a tasteful meat selection that was then paired with a simple salad to make a delicious healthy meal!
Choosing menu items that include lean meat, wholegrains, vegetables and fruit will not only reduce the amount of added salt and saturated fat on offer but will boost the dietary fibre and nutrients provided also.
